Maya Mouret
Actor - Singer - ArtistMaya Mouret is a New York City based actress, born and raised in the woods of Durango, Colorado. Growing up, Maya was the designated story teller and group game inventor in her neighborhood, creating wild, fantastical worlds filled with magic, family, and usually a bunch of jungle animals. When she was alone, she would spend her free time acting out intense multi-character melodramas in her room. Maya first stepped on stage at 5 years old singing “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog” for a talent show in a monochrome green outfit but it wasn’t until her mom signed her up for a summer camp production of Monty Python’s Spamalot Jr. where she played God at age 10 that Maya truly started to fall in love with acting.
Maya has been immersed in all aspects of theater, from Shakespearean tragedies to outrageous campy musicals. After studying Musical Theater for 2 years in Durango, Maya became the first member of her family to move away when she journeyed off to NYC to pursue her passion at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She continues training as a member of the Academy’s prestigious Company (2026-27).
Professionals and audiences have described her as a “tenacious, captivating, and generous actress with a bright, bold future ahead of her”. Whether tackling complex dramatic material or bringing energy and humor to a musical number, she approaches each project with curiosity, courage, and a deep love for the craft.
